Suitable for ages 6+
The breeding season for barred owls, great-horned owls and screech owls occurs in mid-winter during some of the coldest months of the year. During the breeding season you are likely to hear the territorial calls of male owls as they defend their territory. In preparation for the breeding season, we invite you to learn more about the species of owls that call the Albany Pine Bush home. Join us for an informational presentation followed by a brief hike to look for evidence of owls. This program meets inside the Discovery Center.
