I'm a neighbor of the Preserve, or pass by it on a regular basis. I'm aware of the Preserve and, in general, know that it is significant.
I work(ed) in and/or have a personal interest in science, the environment, technology, or healthcare. I care about cultural and natural history, and about conservation science.
I'm the parent of young children - under 12 years old. I'd like my kids to explore nature and the outdoors.
I'm the parent of middle or high school youth who are interested in nature stuff. My kids like to explore science at a substantive level. They can understand the uniqueness of the Preserve.
I am a regular Preserve visitor. I like to recreate in the Preserve and appreciate it as an open space resource.

Trail Closures

As part of the ongoing preserve-wide trail reconfiguration the trails are being adjusted in the Great Dune region of the preserve.  In conjunction with the habitat restoration tree thinning, the current blue trail is being eliminated and the yellow trail is being rerouted to start at the Great Dune trailhead. These adjustments, to be completed by late spring 2023, will make for a less confusing visitor experience while also creating larger disturbance-free areas for wildlife.  Thank you for your patience during this transition time.

Preserve Management: Tree Thinning

The entire Kings Highway area, as well as part of the Truax Trail Barrens, will be CLOSED for the next several months, starting on Monday December 5th. Tree thinning will be taking place on 109 acres and will require closure of trail head #9, the entire red loop, and the portion of the green trail west of the powerline.
