Karner Clips Challenges

We are proud to announce our Karner Clips Challenges. Each challenge will be an opportunity for you to create and share a video clip of 1-minute or less that meets the challenge theme. Karner Clips challenges are open to all ages. Take the challenge, experience the Pine Bush and share! Prizes will be awarded. 

Challenge #1 Submissions & Awards

Inspired by Endangered Species

Nature inspires art. In honor of Endangered Species Day on May 20th we asked people to show us how the endangered Karner blue butterfly inspires them. 

Challenge #2

"The Pine Bush is at Your FEET” video challenge!
Instructions:  Put your best foot forward and submit a video 1 minute or less showing us your feet in the Pine Bush.  Yes!  Literally your feet or shoes. Where are your feet taking you in the Pine Bush? Are your feet running, biking, walking, skiing or snowshoeing?  Are your feet hanging out with your friends, pets or family?  Maybe your feet are taking in the scenery? Perhaps your feet are on an epic adventure? What was the impression of your feet? Prizes will be awarded,

Toe the line and follow the rules, please:

  • Open to all ages -Under 18 need adult permission.
  • Keep it original. Only submit a clip made by you. Make sure you have permission to use any images or music that are not yours.
  • You will need to sign a license.
  • Keep your clips appropriate for a family audience.
  • Videos must be 1-minute or less.
  • Videos may only depict or imply legal activities.
  • Do not collect anything from the Albany Pine Bush Preserve.
  • Enter by 4pm on August 5, 2022.

The deadline to submit for challenge #2 is 4pm on August 5, 2022

PRIZES
Winners will be notified by email and could be featured on our website, social media, at the Discovery Center or events. Video clips will be judged, and prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
