This program is suitable for ages 10+
Join us for a guided 1.2-mile walk at Trailhead #9 in the Kings Highway Barrens. We will observe and enjoy the beauty of the pine barrens in late fall, and learn about how this ecosystem has prepared for the coming winter. We will meet at the Kings Highway Barrens trailhead (#9).

Trailhead #9 Kings Highway Barrens
Directions from Discovery Center to Kings Highway Barrens (Trailhead 9). At traffic light in front of Discovery Center building, continue straight through intersection, onto Old State Road. Follow Old State Rd. 0.6 miles to 3 way stop sign intersection. At stop sign, turn right onto Kings Road. Continue straight on Kings Road for 1.3miles. Trailhead will be on your right hand side of the road. Look for pull off area, split rail fencing, and brown kiosk.
