Prescribed fire is an important part of taking care of the Albany Pine Bush Preserve. Fire is a fascinating and powerful force of nature. The Albany Institute of History and Art is currently featuring a special exhibit by artist Leigh Wen, whose work features the four elements- earth, air, water, and fire. Join us on this 0.9-mile hike to learn about prescribed fire in the Albany Pine Bush and reflect on Wen’s artwork.

The Albany Institute will be providing an accompanying art activity set, inspired by Leigh Li-Yun Wen, that will be given out as a part of the program!
