Visitor Services Associate

The Visitor Services Associate is typically the first point of contact for much of the public’s interaction with the APBPC. The Visitor Services Associate is primarily responsible for directing visitors to services and facilities; providing information about recreational opportunities and educational events; answering visitor questions and resolving complaints.  The Visitor Services Associate also assists with the operation of the Discovery Center gift shop (including sales) and care for our live turtles. This position is public facing and plays an important role in inspiring community support and connecting visitors of all ages to this globally rare ecosystem. Review the job description below for full details.

 

The Visitor Services Associate will work 26 hours/week.  Their schedule will be Sunday 9:30am-4:30pm, Monday 8:30am-4:30pm, Tuesday 8:30am-4:30pm and 4.5 hrs. as needed throughout the week.

 

Position type: Permanent, Part Time
Hiring Rate: $15/hr.
Location: Albany, NY
