TEGAR NODERH LWO

Answer: GREAT HORNED OWL

Found in most of North America the Great Horned Owl is a large (18- 24” tall), aggressive and powerful hunter, sometimes called the “tiger owl.” It is mottled brown in color, has yellow eyes, and tufts of feathers on their head that look like ears. Do not let this fool you! They are not actually ears. Their ears are covered with feathers and are located in a similar location as ours. Listen for their deep hooting, that sounds like “Whoooo’s awake? Me too.”
