NESETAR EHOTWE

Answer: EASTERN TOWHEE

The Eastern Towhee is a large sparrow with a black back and head, white belly and rusty sides. Each spring they return to the Albany Pine Bush Preserve to breed. The preserve’s pitch pine-scrub oak barrens provides important habitat for shrubland birds, like Eastern Towhees who prefer thickets of shrubs with leaf litter below. If you listen closely, the Eastern Towhee’s call sounds like it's singing “Drink your tea.”
