PIRIREA RLRWABE

Answer: PRAIRIE WARBLER

The Prairie Warbler is a songbird that returns to the Pine Bush Preserve each spring to breed. Prairie Warblers prefer shrubland areas, and the pitch pine-scrub oak barrens community of the Albany Pine Bush is prime habitat for them. While only about 4’ in size they have a very noticeable call. The Prairie Warbler sings a buzzy ascending musical scale. Listen for them in spring in the Pine Bush Preserve!
