This is a record breaking year at the Pine Bush!

We conducted 14 controlled burns totaling 404 acres this year. This is the first time in 28 years of burning we have reached the 400-acre benchmark in one year.
We were assisted by several regional partners for the burns including the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, The Nature Conservancy, NY State Parks and NY State Department of Environmental Conservation, in addition to our own staff and volunteers.
