Join us for an approximately one-mile winter afternoon walk over rolling sand dunes as we look, listen, write, and draw, with the magnificent Pine Bush as our subject. Suitable for ages 8-13 with caregiver.

Join us as we learn about what animals are active here in the winter and how to identify their tracks, trail patterns, scat and activities. This program is suitable for ages 8+.

Snowflakes and Crystals at the Albany Pine Bush

Crystals can be found in all kinds of places in nature and have an important role to play in the environment. Join us at the Discovery Center to explore the science behind ice crystals as well as other crystals you can find here year-round. This program is suitable for ages 10+

Take a break from your day to join us for a 1.2 mile hike through rolling terrain while we take in the beautiful scenery of the Albany Pine Bush and talk about this unique habitat. This program is suitable for adults.

Volunteers who live within a half mile of the preserve are invited to learn how your efforts monitoring snowpack around the preserve can help us understand wildlife population dynamics.
