Take a break from your day to join us for a 1.2 mile hike through rolling terrain while we take in the beautiful scenery of the Albany Pine Bush and talk about this unique habitat. Snowshoes will be provided if weather requires. We will meet at the Kings Highway Barrens Trailhead (#9).

Trailhead #9 Kings Highway Barrens
Directions from Discovery Center to Kings Highway Barrens (Trailhead 9). At traffic light in front of Discovery Center building, continue straight through intersection, onto Old State Road. Follow Old State Rd. 0.6 miles to 3 way stop sign intersection. At stop sign, turn right onto Kings Road. Continue straight on Kings Road for 1.3miles. Trailhead will be on your right hand side of the road. Look for pull off area, split rail fencing, and brown kiosk.
