Suitable for adults

This training: Learn about the endangered Karner blue butterfly and how to distinguish it from other small blue butterflies in our area, to help us survey for them in restored areas of the preserve. We will also discuss the types of native plants used as sources of nectar for Karners, and how to use the Avenza map app for surveys.

The Survey: Volunteers will independently conduct surveys in July during the second emergence of adult Karner blues.

All volunteers are required to complete volunteer forms prior to volunteering with the preserve. These forms can be completed online, and information will be provided upon your registration.
