Suitable for ages 10+
Want to get into birding, but don’t know where to start? Come explore the Karner Barrens region of the preserve with us and look for winter birds! Join us this morning to learn how to use binoculars and identify birds by sight and sound. We will be taking a 1 mile moderate hike to search for birds of all shapes and sizes, and practice listening for and recognizing bird calls. We’ll slow down, pausing frequently to listen and look for birds and observe their activities! We will have binoculars and field guides to help us identify any birds we may encounter! This program meets inside the Discovery Center.
