Equinox comes from the Latin words for "equal" and "night." From here on out, the temperatures begin to drop and daylight continues to wane. Join us for a 1 mile hike over rolling sand dunes to celebrate this once a year event. Please remember to wear sturdy walking shoes, long pants and bring drinking water.

Directions from Discovery Center to Truax Barrens (Trailhead 12)
At traffic light in front of Discovery Center building, continue straight through intersection, on Old State Road. Follow Old State Rd. 0.6 miles to 3 way stop sign intersection. At stop sign, turn right onto Kings Road. Continue straight on Kings Road for .1 miles.
