Suitable for ages 8+
Frogs are silent during these cold and snowy months, the curved shape of turtles can’t be seen on the logs in the wetland, and no snakes can be heard moving through the brush. Amphibians and reptiles have unique ways to survive through the winter weather. Join us for an informational presentation followed by a 0.9mile hike over sand dunes (including some stairs) and learn why we call it “deep freeze.” If necessary we will snowshoe. Snowshoes will be provided to program participants. This program meets inside the Discovery Center.
