This program is suitable for ages 6+

Although invertebrates don’t have a backbone, that doesn't mean they are cowards. Many Pine Bush invertebrates bravely face our cold northeastern winters and survive to buzz, crawl, and slither come spring. How do they do it? Learn about some of the many strategies our small Pine Bush residents use to get through the coldest season. We plan to hike 0.9 miles over rolling terrain, stopping intermittently to search for signs of insects and observe winter in the Pine Bush. This program meets inside the Discovery Center.
