This program is suitable for tweens, teens and adults.
Whether from a distance or viewing the pitch pine tree up close, you’ll notice how distinct it is from its evergreen relatives. On this walk we’ll walk approximately 2 miles and explore what makes these pines different, special, and important to the Albany Pine Bush Preserve, including how prescribed fire supports their place in this ecosystem. We will meet at the Truax Trail Barrens Trailhead (#12).
