Committee Member For Friends Of The Pine Bush Community

Do you have time, energy, and creativity that could benefit our beloved Pine Bush Preserve? The Board of the Friends of the Pine Bush Community is looking to welcome new board and committee members who can help us continue and expand the work we’ve/they’ve been doing since 2005.

If you’d like to learn more about the  Albany Pine Bush through a connection to the Friends and our/their work with the Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission:
 

• Consider joining the Board of the Friends of the Pine Bush Community!  The Friends are the 501 (c) 3, all-volunteer partner who meets monthly to help the Commission with outreach and social activities and provide flexibility through financial support and fundraising efforts. We/They take an active role in attending and promoting programs and social events, staffing information tables at community events, and helping the Commission and its mission to protect and expand the Pine Bush.  Anticipated volunteer commitment is 2 to 3.5 hours/month including meetings, follow-up, and event attendance.

• Consider joining the FUNDRAISING Committee if you’d like to help research funding opportunities, write grants, and develop campaigns to secure business and foundation support and increase the number of Friends and individual donors. Anticipated volunteer commitment is 2.5 to 3 hours/month and includes digital meetings and follow-up assignments.

• Consider joining the SOCIAL Committee if you’d like to help develop a lively post-pandemic repertoire of fun events so that Friends (and friends of Friends!) can get together and enjoy all that’s good in the Pine Bush (e.g. hiking, biking, birding, snowshoeing, kayaking, social gatherings to learn more about the Pine Bush, etc). Anticipated volunteer commitment is 2 to 3.5 hours/month including meetings, follow-up, and event attendance.
