The Discovery Center is closed due to concerns about Coronavirus. All scheduled in person programs, activities and meetings are cancelled during this time.
The twenty mile trail system in our beautiful 3,350 acre preserve remains open though and we have lots of other resources listed below where you can find ways to interact with the Pine Bush.
Submit your photos to Pine Bush Perspectives 2020. Did you capture a great shot of a butterfly, frame a gorgeous sunset or zoom into the gills of a mushroom? Each visitor views the Albany Pine Bush from a unique vantage point worthy of celebrating. Share your perspective by submitting photographs taken in the Albany Pine Bush Preserve to our juried exhibit by midnight October 1, 2020. www.AlbanyPineBush.org/photo-exhibit
Go for a walk! There are 20 miles of trail in the Albany Pine Bush Preserve. Enjoy some fresh air and get a little exercise. Download the Agents of Discovery Mobile Game. The Albany Pine Bush Preserve is a mission site for Agents of Discovery. Download the app onto your mobile device and go for a hike at Trailhead #1 near the Discovery Center. The app will prompt you to complete challenges along the way! Click here to learn more.
NOTE: If you do plan on visiting, it should be for a solitary nature break. Please limit outdoor recreational activities to non-contact, and avoid activities where you may come in close contact with other people. If you arrive at the preserve and crowds are forming, choose a different trailhead or return another time/day to visit.
