Night with the Arts
Honoring Wildlife Artist Wayne Trimm and Feature Film Premiere on Prescribed Fire
Friends of the Pine Bush Community is proud to present A Night with the Arts on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center, 195 New Karner Road, Albany, NY, an evening celebrating the powerful connection between art and conservation.
As part of the Albany Pine Bush Preserve’s Lupine Fest, this event will honor the life and legacy of beloved wildlife artist Wayne Trimm, whose work beautifully captured the spirit of the natural world. A curated selection of Trimm’s prints will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting education and conservation efforts at the Albany Pine Bush Preserve.
A highlight of the evening will be the premiere of Scorching Success, a short film commissioned to explore the transformative impact of the Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission’s nationally recognized prescribed fire program. Albany Pine Bush Preserve Conservation Director, Neil Gifford will be present to introduce the film and share insights into its creation and message.
In addition to the film and art sale, guests can enjoy a photography exhibit showcasing the unique beauty of the Pine Bush and engage with local writers whose work is inspired by the region’s rare inland pine barrens ecosystem.
“We are excited to bring the community together to experience the Preserve through the lens of art, film, and storytelling,” said Jeff Corbin, President of Friends of the Pine Bush Community. “This event is not only a tribute to Wayne Trimm’s enduring legacy, but also a celebration of the creativity that conservation inspires.”
