Meet the Guilderland Library at the trailhead behind the Discovery Center and go on a StoryWalk adventure!
Join our tie-dye party! Purchase a shirt or bring your own and make a colorful creation to comemorate your trip to the Pine Bush.
The Albany Pine Bush Preserve presents "Nature Night Out", a series of evening events that invite everyone to drop everything and get into nature. The Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center will extend operations until 7pm on each of these days, capitalizing on those longer sunlit hours.
Visitors of all ages can enjoy live music while feasting on a meal from food truck vendors, go on a StoryWalk adventure along the trail and learn about the natural & cultural history of the Pine Bush with interactive Discovery Center exhibits.
A fun evening out in nature awaits you at 195 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
This program is part of our 2026 Lupine Fest passport program. Use your passport to explore Lupine Fest all month long! Attend hikes, programs, exhibits, and special events, and collect a stamp for each activity you complete.
Earn fun, small prizes along the way just for participating—no pressure, just plenty of chances to try something new and enjoy the Pine Bush.
Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center
From I-87 take exit 2W (Rt 5 West, Central Avenue). Follow Rt 5 for about 2 miles then turn left onto Rt 155 (New Karner Rd). Continue on Rt 155 for about 1.2 miles. The Discovery Center is located on the left at 195 New Karner Road. (518)456-0655
