We are looking to grow our volunteer team of Docents at the Discovery Center. The Albany Pine Bush Preserve’s Discovery Center acts as a gateway to the preserve, and becoming a Docent is a fun and rewarding way to volunteer with us!
Docents welcome visitors into the center and orient them to all the preserve and exhibits have to offer. Volunteers must successfully complete the Discovery Center Volunteer Docent training program and commit to 4 hours a month minimum.

Post-interview, 2 trainings will be in-person at the Discovery Center. Attendance at both training sessions is mandatory. The first training session will be held on Sunday, February 2, 10:30am-1pm. The second training will be scheduled by appointment.

From I-87 take exit 2W (Rt 5 West, Central Avenue). Follow Rt 5 for about 2 miles then turn left onto Rt 155 (New Karner Rd). Continue on Rt 155 for about 1.2 miles. The Discovery Center is located on the left at 195 New Karner Road. (518)456-0655
