Award winning local artist Kevin Kuhne will lead a plein air watercolor session where participants can capture their own perspectives of the Pine Bush in season.  We will focus on a portrayal of the pitch pines and their very individual character. Participants will also learn basic watercolor techniques and how to design a landscape. All materials will be provided, and first-timers to watercolor are especially welcome.  Kevin specializes in watercolor depictions of the Capital Region, with a special interest in local architecture and history.  He has a B.S. in Art Education from SUNY New Paltz and continues to teach and conduct workshops locally and regionally. He is an active member of many local Arts organizations, including the Oak Room Artists and the Albany Artists Group, and shows regularly in the Capital District and beyond. He is regularly featured at the Micropolis Gallery in Gloversville, Art Associates gallery in Albany, and the Historic Albany Foundation’s annual “BUILT” show. Kevin is a Signature Member of the Northeast Watercolor Society and has been juried into the Artists of the Mohawk Hudson Regional and the Adirondack National Exhibition of American Watercolors. This program will meet at the Discovery Center. Suitable for adults.

Materials will be provided but participants should bring a portable chair.
