Looking for a one-of-a-kind learning experience for your students that also meets NYS Learning Standards? The globally rare Albany Pine bush offers schools a locally unique outdoor classroom where learning comes alive.

Community service opportunities for classes to complete in the preserve include

Plan Ahead

Programs need to be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance but our schedule often fills in quickly so make plans early.

How much does it cost?

  • The Friends of the Pine Bush Community offers qualifying schools reimbursement funds for the bus transportation costs to the Albany Pine Bush Preserve. Click here to find out more.
     
  • The Albany Pine Bush Commission offers a "program fee waiver" for qualifying schools. Once you have registered for a program, send a letter written on school letterhead requesting the fee waiver to jcitriniti@albanypinebush.org
