Volunteer Gardening at the Discovery Center

Suitable for ages 12+. All participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Volunteer to help up us maintain the Discovery Center grounds! This year we will be focused on removing invasive plants from the Discovery Center grounds which may include pulling, clipping and digging. All volunteers will be required to sign a liability form. If you plan to volunteer with us for more than one day additional paperwork may be required. Registration closes 24 hours before the program.
Please remember to dress for the weather and the presence of ticks. Wear sturdy shoes, light pants with long socks that can be pulled up over your pant legs and shirts that are tucked into the waistband and bring drinking water. We will provide all necessary equipment. If you have a favorite pair of gardening gloves you are welcome to bring them but it is not required.
We will meet outside in front of the Discovery Center main entrance.
In the event that we need to cancel do to inclement weather we will notify all registered participants.
Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center
From I-87 take exit 2W (Rt 5 West, Central Avenue). Follow Rt 5 for about 2 miles then turn left onto Rt 155 (New Karner Rd). Continue on Rt 155 for about 1.2 miles. The Discovery Center is located on the left at 195 New Karner Road. (518)456-0655
