EIWTH DLATIE REDE
Answer: WHITE TAILED DEER
The white-tailed deer is the largest mammal found in the Albany Pine Bush. Their name comes from the white underside of their tail, seen mostly when they are running away. They can run up to 30 mph and leap as high as 10 feet. You can typically find them feeding in fields and meadows and sheltering in coniferous forests. Deer are herbivores and eat nuts, berries, grass, fungus and twigs. The male is called a “buck” and a female is called a “doe."
