| Keep up the good work. I grew up in Albany and my Irish ancestors were railroad workers and farmers in or near the Pine Bush. As a kid, I used hike out there before the state campus and SUNY were built. I would love to talk to John Wolcott about my interest in the area. Is that possible. Thanks, David |

| I think this is a cool place. I like it because it is very interesting, you can make your own videos and movies. Also if you take a cookie you can get your picture taken...like it just did to me.
My favorite part was the tree with the roots showing and you can take the remotes and place them next to your ear and hear more information about the Pine Bush, like I just did. |

| The Pine Bush was quite interesting.We went on a hike (on the blue trail) and then we attended one of the programs and went on the hike again. Now we are exploring the Discovery Center and learning more about the Pine Bush and prescribed fires. |

| i would just like to say that i'm really glad that we have this discovery center here. a lot of people don't know what the pine bush is about and i think this is a great place for people to learn more. i think it's great that you included students too, because i know i learn a lot from them, and i know a lot of the kids so it's great to see them and actually learn what they have to say!! |

| My husband and I had a wonderful time with our boys on the tour. We have lived in Albany for a number of years and have never visited the Pine Bush until today. We learned so many facts about the Preserve and its inhabitants. It was also good to learn about the many programs offered by the Preserve year round. Our Tour Guide Laura was great. | the pine bush preserve is a nice place to hang with friends, go with family, and go by your self. i like personally to go with friends because then you get to experience the joy and personality of the pine bush. i would love to save the pine bush because if we didn't there would be no plants, and when there is no plants that animals can eat there will be no animals, and when there is no animals to eat humans will die. i know it sounds harsh to eat animals but we need meat in our bodies. i just went to the pine bush today november 23, 08 and my and i went into the discovery center and out on a really neat trail. when we were on that trail we saw a lot |

| I am a Cub Scout Webelo Leader with 9 scouts plus siblings. We'd love to plan an outing to your discovery center. We have some Naturalist requirements we expect you could help us with. Id a plant, bird or wild animial that is found only in your area of the country., Tell why it survives only in your area. And Describe both the benefits and the harm wildfires can cause in a forest ecosystem.

| Our Saviors School visited the PB in June 2008. The tour/walk was a wonderful learning experience, and both my students and I had a fantastic day. We especially want to thank Erin Kinal for her very informative tour & the remarkable manner in which it was guided. The kids discuss frequently how much they enjoyed this experience & learned from the program. We will definitely be back next year! Thanks again APB and staff for an overall fun day. I am a Webelos Cub Scout leader in Slingerlands,NY. I'd like to work on our Naturalist badge at your preserve. We need to identify an animal/insect that is found only in our area of the country: The Blue Karner Butterfly! There are other criteria to cover in the badge program that would also need to be discussed. If this is something your organization can do, please contact me. I'm hoping to visit sometime in late April/early May on a Sunday afternoon. My den has 12 boys plus chaperones.

one simple display suggestion for the "Finding Common Ground" balance scale. - magnatize the scale where you place the weights with the same material which holds the weights on the wall. That way the weights won't fall off when children move the weights. |

| Very nice! I will amke sure my 7 year olds get here often. Btw -- Is there any chance that you can set aside part of your effort researching ecologically considerate energy developments? With the Tech Valley initiatives and with RPI, SUNY's, Rockefeller Program, and Land Use Programs, and Union College, and with GE, et al. There must be a bunch or organizations and individuals willing volunteer to support such exhibits and initiatives. |

| We truly enjoy the Discovery Center as a family and really thought the preschool programs we attended were so wonderful. I told everyone I knew and now as I try to register it looks as though they listened to me. All of the pre-registration for the preschool programs is full. Is there any way to still attend? Truly interested in continuing my children's interest in the Pine Bush. Please let me know what your policy is with these programs.

| Just wanted to say what a GREAT program you have for pre-schoolers 2-4 on Wednesdays! My granddaughter really enjoys it and so do I. Everyone who works there are so very nice and make you feel welcome to be there. I have told several others and they were there today and kept thanking me for telling them about it. | I accompanied a group of local 10th and 11th graders from 6 different schools, and none of them had ever heard of the Pinebush before. Mary Ann gave a very good guided hike, explaning to the significance of the Pinebush and its rebirth. I was very impressed with the organization of the material and how she was able to interest the students in the area. The Discovery Center is very well done. | Thank you for having a city that is very educational. we came here to camp at Thompson Lake State Park for the week of 14-21 of July. my neighbors daughter is at Unon College for this time attending National Scholors. We have enjoyed the nature center (Emma Thatcher) Thatcher State park, Fms Butterfly open house and now Albany Pine Bush it has been great. We will be returning next summer with more people to educate them. |
